Release Procedure
After a seamless transition from the exam room to the treatment room, Dr. Ben is accompanied by two assistants while the procedure is being performed. When treating a newborn or infant, one of our assistants will bring the baby into the treatment room, where the baby is swaddled and given a cool and special pair of goggles to wear during the procedure. Our office uses the LightScalpel CO2 laser which offers many advantages over traditional surgical methods including; minimized bleeding, less swelling and discomfort, reduced risk of infection, shortened procedure time, and smoother recovery. The procedure is complete within a few minutes, and the baby is returned to you in no time.
Once the baby is comfortably resting in your arms, we suggest breast or bottle feeding to soothe the baby and aid in training the muscles’ new function.
